Planning a fuse board upgrade?
Amber Electrical replaces consumer units and older fuse boards in Ludlow, Brimfield and across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The right solution depends on the existing circuits and electrical installation, rather than simply swapping one board for another.
What affects the quotation?
The circuit count, earthing and bonding, condition of the wiring, access and any extra work all affect the scope. A planned power interruption is needed. Mention essential equipment, recurring tripping or plans for home EV charging when you enquire.
Assessment, testing and certification
Existing faults may need investigation or repairs before or alongside the replacement. The agreed work includes relevant inspection, testing and certification; additional repairs are explained separately. Photographs help with initial advice, but an assessment may be needed before a final quote. Keep covers in place when taking photos.

Assess the installation
Existing circuits, earthing and bonding are assessed first. Any faults or additional work are explained before the replacement is agreed.

Plan and install
Discuss suitable circuit protection, residual-current and surge protection, access and the planned power interruption.

Test and certify
The completed work is inspected and tested, with relevant electrical certification. Any repairs to existing wiring are explained separately.
