We pride ourselves in our bespoke consumer unit replacement service, if you are worried

about the state of your current consumer unit, or you have an old style rewireable “fuse

box”, we can give you free advice and a quote for upgrading your installation to the modern

standards with all the additional safety features.

There are quite a few regulations involved in changing consumer units.

​

The consumer unit should be installed in line with BS7671 as well as the best practice guides available on the Electrical Safety first website.

Did you know that ideally you should have an EICR carried out beforehand to ensure there are no faults which could cause nuisance tripping or potentially dangerous situations?

Main earthing and bonding must also be in place prior to installing new fuse boards.

​

On completion to comply with BS7671 initial verification will be carried out and an Electrical Installation Certificate will be issued.
