What should I include in my enquiry?

Send your postcode, property type and a description of the fault. Mention which circuit or equipment is affected, when it started and whether anything recently changed. Photos of the consumer unit can help Paul plan the visit.

Why does a circuit keep tripping?

Different faults can have similar symptoms. The cause needs investigation; a diagnosis cannot be confirmed from a short message alone.

Will a new consumer unit solve the problem?

Existing wiring or equipment faults may need separate investigation and repair. A replacement consumer unit does not fix every electrical problem. See consumer unit replacements.
